Lyubomir Levchev is a leading figure from the so-called 'April' generation of Bulgarian poets, which took the scene after the de-Stalinization of society in 1956 … The translations by Jack Harte are delicious and live up to the challenge of Levchev's rich and varied style. The current edition is a pleasure to read. My only suggestion is that it would benefit from providing the years of publication of the verses, helping readers to trace the long and winding road traveled by the poet, always changing but staying true to himself ("The One Who Stayed").
